Dr. Sanju Sanjaya’s lab at West Virginia State University (WVSU) is seeking a highly motivated
post-doctoral researcher to study lipid metabolism in Arabidopsis and oilseed crops. The project
focuses on studying the mechanisms of lipid metabolism, regulation, and storage in plants.
The
project involves the biochemical characterization of novel Arabidopsis mutants and/or transgenic
plants impaired in lipid accumulation in seed and vegetative tissues by a combination of
biochemical, genetic, cell biological, and physiological approaches. For further information,
please visit a recent publication:
Required qualification:
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline,
experience in analytical biochemistry, particularly lipid identification and quantification,
molecular biology, electrophoretic mobility shift assay, transient expression assay in protoplast,
and a record of publications.
Experience and demonstrated skills in working with Arabidopsis
and oilseed crops. Excellent communication and writing skills and proven ability to work
independently and in teams.
How to apply:
Candidates should apply directly to Dr. Sanju Sanjaya via email to
(sanjaya@wvstateu.edu) by submitting a single PDF file containing
