We are seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher to join our team and lead
research efforts in tropical fruit genomics.
Education:
Ph.D. in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Plant genetics and genomics or
closely related field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of genomic features and genetic diversity in tropical
fruit germplasm collections.
• Develop and optimize bioinformatics pipelines and tools for analyzing large genomics
datasets.
• Perform comparative genomics to identify genetic variations associated with important
traits such as disease resistance and fruit quality.
• Explore population genetics and evolutionary dynamics to understand the origins and
diversification of tropical fruits.
• Contribute towards the management of large genomics datasets.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present results at scientific
conferences.
Desired Skillset:
• Strong background in genomics and bioinformatics, with demonstrated experience in
analyzing large-scale genomics datasets.
• Experience with bioinformatics tools and methods commonly used in plant genomics
research.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl.
• Strong communication and writing skills to lead research projects and collaborate
effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
